DiverseCity Multicultural Street Festival

Sunday, June 25

Sunday, June 25th, 2017 | 2:00pm to 10:00pm
Queen Street (from Grafton St. to Sydney St.)
Free Entry

This ever-growing festival, which will celebrate its 11th year in Charlottetown in 2017, showcases the tapestry of diverse cultures that has and continues to shape the Island in a myriad of ways. Free to the public, DiverseCity fills the streets of downtown Charlottetown with the sights, tastes, sounds and impressive talents of the many cultures and ethnicities that make up the fabric of the city and Island. The jam-packed, ten-hour long schedule features live music, performances, demonstrations, games, family-friendly activities, arts and crafts, and a cornucopia of international food vendors that are always popular with festival-goers.

This year, festival-goers are in for an extra special treat if they stay until the sun sets. New in 2017 and in celebration of Canada 150, a free multimedia experience, Signatures - A Canadian Spectacle Under the Stars, will debut on June 25th at dusk. The 30-minute sound and light show, which will be projected nightly on the sandstone walls of the Centre all summer, will showcase the nation's diversity, pay homage to its past and highlight its bright future. Signatures is presented by Discover Charlottetown, Confederation Centre of the Arts and Graphics eMotion.
