Old Home Week returns August 9th to August 18th, 2012! We hope you can join us for another year of family fun!
Old Home Week is all about entertainment, and that means entertainment for everyone. With an emphasis on variety, entertainment at Old Home Week blends the traditional with the modern, offering fun and excitement for all ages.
Music PEI Presents Best of the Island Showcase
Old Home Week will be home to many talented PEI musicians. From traditional ceilidh music to Acadian, to jazz & blues, to alternative rock... no music lover will be disappointed with this year's traditional line-up of performers.
Who doesn't love the incredible dogs at the Fast 'n Furious Flyball shows? Last year's Flyball shows were all sold out, so this year the dogs will be putting on even more shows! Get there early to not miss out on all the fast-paced action. There is no additional charge to see this show - it's included with your gate admission!
Gold Cup
The fastest horses and the best drivers in all of Eastern Canada converge at the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre for 15 racing programs in 9 days. The Gold Cup & Saucer dates back to the early 1960's, and has become known as one of the most prestigious races in horse racing.
Celebrate Agriculture
Experience a piece of Island Agriculture through a visit to the Celebrate Agriculture Exhibit. Learn more about the high quality food produced right here on PEI and where you can buy it fresh from the farm gate.
There's plenty to see and do throughout the area; plant seeds, perform experiments, and investigate insects up close! Get your picture taken with Missy, our life size dairy cow, while learning about the food she eats and the milk she produces. Chat with our specialists and Industry leaders throughout the week for first hand information about Island farmers and their dedication to the land, their families, and their communities.
