Summer is nearly upon us and with that brings the Island Tides Yoga & Wellness Festival right here in downtown Charlottetown. From rooftop fitness classes and SUP yoga sessions to intimate culinary experiences and gentle sunset yoga, there is something for everyone at this year’s festival.

1) Try a Variety of Yoga Classes

With 30 unique yoga classes happening over four days, there is literally something for every style, practice and preference. Ready for an ideal day? Start off with a gentle yoga class overlooking the water, head to an in-studio kundalini workshop in the afternoon, then finish the day with a yin & reiki class in Victoria Park.


2) Discover Unique Venues

Enjoy getting to know a different side of Charlottetown while expanding your personal horizons and exploring your inner landscape in the heart of Prince Edward Island. From lush courtyards, rooftop patios, and cozy studios to harbourside green spaces, wooded parks, and cool, urban environments – the list is endless for unique spaces to deepen your practice.

Or head to Salt & Sol for the Soulful Living Breakfast, featuring a nutritious breakfast and healthy  living talks overlooking the harbour.

We’ll have thought-leaders hosting informal and intimate workshops that range from clean beauty and self love to mindfulness and healthy living. 5) Dance Your Heart Open

Fitness doesn’t always have to involve dumbbells and downward dogs. Take part in Monelli’s Persian Dance workshop or Polina’s Zumba class on Saturday afternoon, learn to Shuffle at Mel’s Sweat & Shuffle workshop Thursday & Friday evenings, or shake your booty through the streets with the Silent Disco on Friday night.

6) Take in Free Dance & Music Performances

Sit back and enjoy the variety of entertainment on offer during the Happy Hour Dance Performances on Victoria Row Friday & Saturday nights. Kick off your weekend with an interactive dance performance with Monelli. Then take in a performance by the Xclusiv Crew, a joyful and creative HipHop & Caribbean dance group. Their vibrant shows features dancers of all shapes, sizes, skin tones and cultures.
