Happy Hour Haunts

May 13, 2019

It’s the weekend! It’s 4 o’clock! It’s a day ending in ‘y’! There are so many reasons (excuses) to celebrate with a happy hour drink and we’ve got the scoop on where to head for your drink specials and happy-hour priced bites in Charlottetown.

BABA’S LOUNGE
This well-loved bar may be pint-sized, but it’s got a reputation for hosting high-calibre bands and epic dance parties. Located above Cedar’s Eatery at 181 Great George Street, Baba’s will help liven up the weekday with happy hour drinks for $4 and menu items for $5 from Monday to Friday, 4pm to 9pm.

WATER’S EDGE RESTO BAR GRILL
Located in the Delta Prince Edward, Water’s Edge kicks every weekend off with Friday fun from 5.30pm to 8.00 pm. Kick off your heels or shoes and relax in one of the comfy lounge chairs or find a seat at the bar and catch up with your pals. DJ music (and sometimes live music!) amps up the energy and the special drink concoctions can make for a tipsy night.

OLD TRIANGLE
The Old Triangle, located at 189 Great George, boasts an inviting outdoor patio (inviting in the warmer months anyways!) and offers drink specials on bottled beer, local draught, cocktails, martinis and well shots Monday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm. If you happen to land at this popular Irish pub on a Thursday evening be sure to stick around for ‘The Schooner Session’, an informal open jam session featuring traditional Celtic music (read: plenty of fiddles, pipes, flutes and the such).

REDWATER RUSTIC GRILLE
Wednesdays are the new Fridays in some circles and Redwater Rustic Grille, located adjacent to the Holman Grand Hotel, makes a point of celebrating the mid-week marker in style. Wine Down Wednesdays at Redwater are all about relaxing and experiencing new wines, which is made more enticing with all-day wine specials.

THE FACTORY COOKHOUSE & DANCEHALL
No matter what night of the week you head on over to the Factory Cookhouse & Dancehall at 189 Kent, you’re bound to happen upon a great food or drink deal – from all-you-can-eat tacos to $3 Jack Daniels to $9.99 pitchers. This hotspot is a favourite amongst country music lovers, those in search of BBQ smokehouse-inspired eats, late-night weekend revellers and anyone who loves food and drink specials!
