The Future is Fossils: A Pop-Up Museum at Beaconsfield’s Carriage House

Sunday, May 23, 2021 - Monday, May 24, 2021
Beaconsfield 2 Kent Street Charlottetown, PE 902.368.6603

The Future is Fossils: Pop-up Museum – Travel back in time with your whole family at this free event. Get close-up with the fossils in our collection, from the pre-modern all the way back to the prehistoric. You will see technological “fossils” from our recent past, like oil lamps, typewriters and gramophones. You can even play a few minutes of a retro video game. Then, travel into the primeval past with fossils of ancient plants, animals and footprints. Take a selfie with a dimetrodon, a predator that stalked the jungles of what is now PEI almost 300 million years ago – before the existence of mammals, birds or even dinosaurs.

The Pop-up Museum will take place on Sunday, May 23rd and Monday, May 24th, 2021. Due to COVID-19 protocols, there will be six timed visits each day, with the first beginning at 10 a.m. and the last ending by 4 p.m. We ask you to please register for the timed visit you wish to attend and the number of people in your party. Each one-hour time slot will allow a maximum of 28 people.

Spaces are FREE but limited, so book now!
