The Root Cellar is PEI’s original health food store, located in the heart of downtown Charlottetown. It has been in business since 1972 and owned by Naturopathic Doctor Kali Simmonds since 1999. The store carries a large variety of products including high-quality supplements, non-toxic bodycare and makeup, organic and specialty foods (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, keto, paleo). What truly sets The Root Cellar apart from other health food stores, is its longevity and customer service. Our staff, including Naturopathic Doctor Nara Simmonds, are knowledgeable and passionate about helping you with all your health needs. The Root Cellar is open Monday through Saturday 9am to 6pm.
