The Moneygoround w/ Jenina MacGillivray at Trailside

Trailside Music Hall 155 Kent St Charlottetown, PE

The Moneygoround is a five-piece band from Prince Edward Island, Canada. The group consists of Josh Langille, Sam Langille, Dennis Ellsworth, Katie McGarry, and Dan Currie. For their forthcoming debut album, produced by Joel Plaskett, they’ve got a diverse and easy going sound, that is kinda spaced out with hints of 60’s psychedelic, and jangly folk-rock.

Jenina MacGillivray is a songwriter, performer and filmmaker. Her debut album Marion is named for her mother and was called “the real deal” (Roots Canada), “possibly the most beautiful album of the year” (The East) and “a love letter to friends and family, to cities and towns, and to the past and potential lovers who inhabit them” (The Overcast).
Jenina has made three short films: Boarding (2016), The Tour (2017) and Skip (2018), which have screened in festivals across Canada, the US and Europe. 2019 Music NL Female artist of the year, Jenina is currently working on her sophomore album in Charlottetown PEI, and her first feature film script, Gorillas.
