Located on the crest of a wooded hill overlooking the beautiful Southwest River, The New London Carriage House offers spectacular water views and backdrops for any unique gathering. Whether small and intimate or grand in size, our property can be customized to suit your needs and host weddings, elopements, meetings, special events, musical performances and more. This breathtaking property sits on the crest of a wooded hill overlooking the beautiful Southwest River, located 11km from Cavendish, the heart of Anne of Green Gables. It offers spectacular water views of the New London Bay and the Cavendish Dunes.
The Carriage House, originally called “The Ramsay Barn”, is a 20th century barn that was part of a 92-acre farm. Constructed in approximately 1920, by Frank A. Ramsay, the barn was used as a large dairy operation. The “carriage house”, that sits on the property was previously used by the New London Presbyterian Church and relocated to the property. The former dairy barn continues to be a landmark in its community. It is now owned and operated locally. We are striving to make each couple’s dream wedding or event come to life. With its breathtaking beaches, delicious culinary flavours and “gentle feel”, Prince Edward Island is the ideal wedding and honeymoon destination.
