Kent Street will be closed off + licensed, and will come alive with the sights and sounds and smells of the grown-up birthday party of our collective dreams (Covid-style) – featuring street food & local drinks, live music (feat. the Love Junkies, Vince the Messenger, Taylor Swift Tribute Band, Kierrah, Logan Richard, and more!), comedy & drag shows, party games, dance performances, and more. Hula-hooping competition, anyone?!

Street Feast FAQs

How do I enter the street and get a seat?
Similar to getting a table on a patio, please check in with the host at the Great George Street entrance. Seating will be subject to availability.

What section of Kent St is closed off?
The block from Great George St (Entrance) to Prince St. (Exit)

Do I need to pay to get in and/or buy a ticket in advance?
No. Admission is free but priority will be given to those who are purchasing food & drink. First come, first serve!

Is it rain or shine?
HECK YES! We are taking steps to make sure it’s dry and cozy, but please also dress for the weather. #sweaterweather

Which restaurants are participating?
Craft Beer Corner, HopYard, Salvador Dali Cafe, Dooly’s Charlottetown, and Charlottetown Beer Garden

Do I need to wear a mask? If so, when and where?
Yes, please wear a mask unless you’re seated at your table.

Can I get up and roam around?
Please stay at your table/in your cohort unless getting up to purchase food/drink or participating in a hula-hooping competition. If you need to get up for any other reason, please ensure you are practicing physical distancing.

Do I need to be double-vaccinated?
No. While it is recommended, it is not required. People will have to be physically distanced, wear masks unless eating/drinking, and remain in their cohorts. We’ll also have sanatizing stations throughout the street.

Do I need to purchase anything?
Yes. Due to the limited seating (because of Covid-19 restrictions), priority will be given to those who will be patrons at the participating restaurants.

What are the capacity limits?
The street capacity is 400 people at any one time. There will be two cohorts of 200.

Can I bring an alcoholic drink onto the street?
No. The street is licensed only for alcohol purchased at a restaurant, which you may bring to your table/seat anywhere on the street.

Are children allowed?
Yes. Anyone under 19 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring my dog?
No. While we LOVE pups, due to capacity restrictions and limited space, no dogs are allowed (sadly).

How do I order food?
Please go up to the food station(s) of your choosing to order. Each restaurant will have their own outdoor station except for Salvador Dali Cafe, where you’ll have to go inside to order. If you would like to order from a restaurant’s regular menu, please go inside the resto to order.

Can I order food from a different restaurant than where I’m seated?
Yep! You can order from the satellite bars and food stations.

Is there table service?
No. Please go up to a satellite bar, food station, or inside a restaurant to order.

Can I bring my own seating?
No. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there is a limited amount of room for patrons, so we ask that you please sit at one of the designated tables or groupings of chairs.

Where are the bathrooms?
The bathrooms are located behind the stage and within each of the restaurants.

What is the entertainment line-up for the weekend?
Please refer to our website www.discovercharlottetown.com/streetfeast for the full line-up. It will be ongoing from 4-11pm Friday and 12-11pm Saturday.

What are the festival hours?
Friday 4pm-11pm & Saturday 12pm – 11pm.

I’m a parent of a dancer at 24Strong – how do I drop off/pick up my child to class?
You can park in the Fitzroy Parkade and use the Kent Street Pedestrian Exit – from there, there will be a fenced-off access to the 24Strong studio.

I’m a guest at the Arts Hotel – where do I park?
There are four designated parking spaces on Great George Street (in front of Craft Beer Corner & the Running Room) for The Arts Hotel guest drop-off.

I want to go to the inside of a restaurant to eat or the Trailside Music Hall for a show – how do I check in?
Please check in with a volunteer at the Sidewalk Entrance on Great George Street and they will help direct you where you need to go.
