Famous for its “singing sands”, Basin Head Beach offers warm waters, lifeguards, and a popular wharf for jumping off into the deep channel. Located near the beloved and charming town of Souris, it’s an ideal spot for families looking for a fun-filled beach day.

Located in the heart of North Rustico within the PEI National Park, this popular beach features stretches of white sand beach set against PEI’s signature red sandstone cliffs. Spend the day sun-bathing on its quiet beachfront before heading into the village for an incredible harbourside meal.

Located within Prince Edward Island National Park, Greenwich Beach is ideal for nature enthusiasts and those looking for a peaceful atmosphere. Its sweeping boardwalk, extensive trail system, on-site amenities and the largest dunes on the Island create a magical atmosphere.
NEARBY EATS: The Seagull Bakery & Cafe is an excellent spot to grab a sandwich and snacks for a picnic.
This scenic, happening spot is located within the PEI National Park. The beach features warm, calm waters ideal for swimming, with a long stretch of sand perfect for beachcombing. It’s also great for families with lifeguards on duty, nearby picnic areas, and playground equipment.
NEARBY EATS: Richard’s Fresh Seafood at Covehead Wharf is famous for its lobster rolls and fish & chips.
Known for its idyllic mix of red sandstone cliffs and expansive white dunes, it’s amazing for a day of beachcombing, swimming, relaxing, or enjoying the nearby attractions. The area is close to family-friendly amusement parks, numerous restaurants, shops, and mini-golf courses.
NEARBY EATS: The storybook setting of Avonlea Village contains a ton of great restaurants.
A lesser-known local gem, Tracadie Beach offers gentle waves, kayaking tours, and a buzzing atmosphere. You can set up shop on the bay side or walk the miles of white sand on the ocean side. The all-new Blackbush Resort now makes it possible to stay overnight near the beach!
NEARBY EATS: Fin Folk Food is the ultimate spot for tasty seafood and other savoury snacks overlooking the beach.
For a classic “south shore” experience, head to Argyle Shore. Located within a Provincial Park, it has a large green space with beautiful views of the Northumberland Strait. It’s a great spot for families to play in the tidal pools, swim in the warm water, and take long walks at low tide.

Located on the eastern tip of PEI, Panmure Island Beach is a hidden gem with white sand and gentle waves. The beach is known for its scenic surroundings and it’s a great spot for swimming, picnicking, and taking long walks along the sandy shore.
NEARBY EATS: Stop in at Double Hill Cidery in Caledonia for ciders made on-site and a weekly tapas menu.
Nestled in Park Corner just past the colourful French River wharf, Yankee Hill Beach is a secluded haven with rolling dunes, stunning views, and a peaceful vibe. Ideal for a quiet day of relaxation or exploration, this beach is a favourite for those looking to escape the crowds.
NEARBY EATS:Drop into Sou’West Bar & Grill for tasty apps and refreshing drinks on their patio overlooking New London Bay.
This hidden gem is best known for its striking sandstone formations including the iconic sea arch. With its soft sands and shallow waters, it’s a great beach for wading and exploring. Access to Thunder Cove requires a short walk, but the views are worth it!
NEARBY EATS: The Island Stone Pub is a cozy restaurant inside the Historic Kensington Train Station.
Located in Stratford, Tea Hill is a charming beach with shallow waters perfect for wading, clam digging, and exploring during low tide. It’s especially popular for its soothing atmosphere, playground equipment, sports fields, and close proximity to Charlottetown.

Featuring stunning white sand dunes, Blooming Point is a favourite for those seeking peace and quiet. It’s your best bet for long walks, sunbathing, and birdwatching. While there are no facilities, the tranquility and beautiful scenery make up for it.
NEARBY EATS: Jewell’s Country Market in Marshfield is a local favourite for a post-beach ice cream treat.
