Spend time admiring the stunning artwork adorning the walls (on three levels) of the Confederation Centre’s National Art Gallery. Step back in time with a guided tour of the city by the Heritage Players Historic Walking Tours. In fall 2025, history comes alive with the grand reopening of Province House. Families can explore newly restored spaces, interactive exhibits, and engaging programming that brings the past to life. For more history, Beaconsfield Historic House a fascinating glimpse into 19th-century life in Charlottetown. Pop into Blank Canvas Art Supplies, a wonderfully creative store located in the Confederation Court Mall. Or, roam the downtown core and find several outdoor murals for those picture-perfect family photo-ops.
SWIMMING LOVERS
Play the day away in Victoria Park, which has a public pool, splash pad, and an accessible playground with 9,000 square feet of fun. Rainy days call for a visit to the Aquatics Facility at the Bell Aliant Centre, which features a large swimming pool, a leisure pool, hot tub, giant water slide, diving boards, and more. Or, head to the beach! Supervised beaches within the PEI National Park are never more than a short drive away.
FUN ‘N’ GAMES
Find a three-hole mini putt golf course within the Confederation Court Mall. Challenge the crew to a round of glow bowling at The Alley. Head to PonyBoat Social Club for interactive games and carnival-inspired snacks. Explore creative learning at STEAM PEI, a hotspot for “edutainment” workshops. Stop in to Owl’s Hollow Playland in the north end of the city where the kids can let their imaginations run wild playing pretend, building, tinkering, and creating in their art studio. Parents, don’t miss the café and smoothie bar! Visit Off the Wallz Trampoline Park in Stratford for hours of bouncy fun in their state-of-the-art facility.

Go on a city-wide treasure hunt with Eckhart in the City, a fun adventure based on David Weale’s The True Meaning of Crumbfest. Follow clues to find nine hidden bronze mouse statues. Grab a map at downtowncharlottetown.com. Follow the tale of Ringo the Fox on the Fox Story Walk, a free, family-friendly downtown journey with nine illustrated storyboards featuring story clues and fun fox facts. Start at the Giant Sunflower by Founders’ Food Hall & Market. Looking for more action? Tackle zip lines, climbing challenges, and high ropes at Rise & Climb Adventure Course in Cornwall. Get out on the water by hopping aboard the Adventures Marine Zodiac Boat Tours for some stealthy seal watching, or the new Harbour Hopper, an amphibious tour that explores Charlottetown by both land and sea!
ONE-STOP ATTRACTIONS
Check out the new Charlottetown Learning Library Centre—home to a full-service Vietnamese coffee bar by The Shed, fun kids’ programs, and rentals from books to skates and snowshoes. Founders’ Food Hall & Market is a family hub year-round. Skate on the outdoor rink in winter, catch movie nights in the fall, or enjoy live music on the patio in summer. Peake’s Quay is a lively waterfront spot with music, green space, shops, and restaurants. Kids can roam while parents soak up the summer vibes and harbour views.
