Many of the shops along Water Street are owner-operated, and it’s quite possible the maker/curator is also the one behind the counter. For a variety of original products, be sure to drop in to Moonsnail Soapworks, Garnish Jewellery, and PEI Crafts Council Retail Gallery.
An array of small boutiques and friendly shopkeepers are tucked along Queen Street. Must-visits include The Bookmark, The Cook’s Edge, Courtside Sneakers, Town City, Cool as a Moose, KC Clothing, Anne of Green Gables Chocolates, Luxury Market Consignment Boutique, The Anne of Green Gables Store, Lady Slipper, JEMS Boutique, Eastwood Ave. Menswear, and The Root Cellar.
This historic train repair shop along the waterfront was converted into a hip, urban market in 2019. Today, it’s a well loved destination for all things local, beautiful, and delicious. With nearly 20 vendors (and counting), you can find everything you’d ever want and need under one roof.
This downtown staple is filled with men’s & women’s clothing, home decor, luxury footwear, and more. You can also find wonderful edible items like olive oil from Liquid Gold Tasting Bar and tons of local grocery items at Kent Street Market.
During the summer months, head to Peake’s Wharf along the Charlottetown waterfront, where you’ll find a cluster of distinctive, colourful shops. Featuring everything from beachwear and funky jewellery to visual art and curated apparel, there’s plenty to browse in this waterside hub.
In Uptown Charlottetown, you’ll find all the convenience and variety of a larger urban centre, from big-name retailers to large grocery stores and Royalty Crossing.
At the edge of city limits towards Cornwall, there’s a collection of restaurants and shops, including Coastal Culture, Anne of Green Gables Chocolates, How Bazaar!, Lone Oak Brewing Co., and Receiver Coffee Co. This is also home to COWS Creamery, PEI’s epicentre of ice cream.
